The priority of the asset or locationA physical place where assets exist and where work can be performed. More relative to other assets/locations.
There is a Priority field on the Assets and Locations applications which while having a range from 0-999 are normally restricted to 0-9 with a numeric domain. 0 is the lowest priority and in this range 9 would be the highest priority.
On a work order the ASSETLOCPRIORITY is derived from the asset’s priority if the work order references an asset and it has a priority, otherwise it will try to derive the priority from the location record. The value will be shown in the Priority section in the Work Order Tracking application.
The Work Priority can be derived from a Job Plan or PM or entered directly on the work order. There are formulas found in the Assignment Manager application which can be used with the Asset/Location PriorityThe priority of the asset or location relative to other assets/locations. More, referenced as EQPRIORITY in the formulas, to derive a Calculated Work Priority (CALCPRIORITY), this is a hidden field.
The Calculated Work Priority can determine a Respond By Date, but this is now rarely used. More likely the Calculated Work Priority, if used, will be found as part of the filter criteria for a Service Level Agreement which can be used to derive the work orders target dates.
The asset or location priority is an attribute of the asset or location, both of which exist at the SiteA structural element of a Maximo database that is used for data separation. More level.
