Answer – False
Spare Parts are copied but not subassemblies or the ability to automatically generate the components of the asset, a pity. It is possible to achieve this by using a Rotating Item and then applying an Item Assembly Structure, a little configuration is needed.

It is possible to automatically generate the Preventive Maintenance records for a new asset generated from an Asset Template.
Answer – True
It is possible to generate the Preventive Maintenance records for each Master PM that you reference on the Asset Template.

Calendar, Shift and Failure Class will not be found on an Asset Template. All the other fields will be found on an Asset Template. This shows that the application originated from Calibration where Calendar, Shift and Failure Class would be less important than in maintenance of plant.
Good news is that if you add to the PLUSCTEMPLATE object the same attribute names that appear in the ASSETS object then the data should be copied and updated.

A Classification with a Use With Object of ASSET can be applied to an Asset Template. This may have an attribute of type DATE.
Answer – True
It is True. There is no Use With Object for PLUSCTEMPLATE – Asset Template, instead you use the ASSET object. MAS Manage now supports a DATE type.

Answer – B
It is the Continuous type of meter, the only one that does need additional set up. For example, to say whether DELTA or ACTUAL meter readings will be entered, to set the Average Calculation Method, the Rollover Point and whether meter readings can be accepted from a LocationA physical place where assets exist and where work can be performed. Q9 – True or False?
You need to select a Site when you use the action Generate New Assets.
Answer – True
As an Asset Template is at the Organization level, you therefore need to specify the Site where you wish to generate new assets. You also need to select a Site when updating existing assets when you use the Apply to Existing Assets action.

Q10 – True or False?
The Apply to Existing Assets action can be used with assets that were not generated from the Asset Template.
Answer – True
It is true. Existing assets that may have been created through data loading can subsequently take advantage of the functionality of Asset Templates through the action Apply to Existing Assets. It is also used to update assets that already reference the Asset Template, perhaps because it generated them.
