Conduct an Inspection
Inspections Dashboard
Three tabs for inspections in Pending, In Progress, and Completed status and another tab shows all inspections.
Each card shows inspection description, inspection number, due date, and either asset or location.
Search field searches text on card details
Create an Unscheduled inspection
Can open multiple selected inspections, or select all and then open
Starting an Inspection
Start button if one inspection
Start Batch button if multiple inspections
Conduct an Inspection
Panel on left shows the opened inspections, whether one or multiple
Hierarchy shows question groups and individual questions for each inspection
As inspector responds to questions, completed questions are shown with green check, similarly when all questions in a group are completed or when an inspection as a whole is completed.
Summary panel on bottom left shows how many questions answered from a total for all opened inspections, also number of required questions answered from the total.
Button to hide optional questions, this hides questions in left hand panel.
Right hand panel shows all questions as one long scrollable list
The complete button is highlighted when all required questions have been answered, a pop-up confirmation occurs.
Unscheduled Inspection
Step 1 – Select the Asset or Location button and enter part of a location or asset description and the lookup filters records by the typed value. Select the asset or location on which to base the inspection.
Step 2 – Select from the recommended inspections or All active inspections. Can also search for an inspection.
Step 3 – Save the selected inspection for the location or asset as a Pending Inspection or Start it immediately.
Inspections in Maximo
Job Plans application has an Inspection Form field on header and at task level. Select Value shows active revision of inspection form.
Routes application has an Inspection Form field on the route stop. Select Value shows the inspection forms recommended to the associated location or asset, and other active inspection forms.
Work Order Tracking application has an Inspection Form field on the header, tasks and also on the Multiple Assets, Locations and CIs table window. Next to each is an Inspection Results field which is populated when an inspection is conducted.
Enter Inspection Results action takes the user to the Conduct an Inspection tool.
Locations
Action Create Unscheduled Inspection
View Work Details has a tab for completed inspections
Action Associate Inspection Form allows a single inspection to be associated with the location. This is also a List tab action.
Assets
Action Create Unscheduled Inspection

Action Associate Inspection Form allows a single inspection to be associated with the asset. This is also a List tab action.
There doesn’t seem to be a method of deleting the recommended inspections of a location or asset.
